Saw Palmetto
  • Prevents hair loss
  • Balances skin
  • Soothes inflammation

Saw palmetto is a natural extract that comes from the berries of the Serenoa repens tree, which grows in the warm, southeastern parts of the United States. Saw palmetto's ability to block certain male hormones, along with its low risk of interfering with other medications, has made it popular as an additional treatment for hair loss. It has been studied for its potential to help with different types of hair loss, including male and female pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia), temporary hair shedding (telogen effluvium), oily skin conditions such as seborrheic dermatitis, and excess facial oil. Saw palmetto can be used on its own or combined with other supplements, either taken by mouth or applied to the skin.
