To support skin moisturisation and hydration. Urea is a component of the natural moisturising factor (NMF).

Urea is a naturally occurring compound found in the outer layer of the skin. It is a crucial component of the skin's natural moisturising factor, which helps keep the skin well-hydrated and protected. It is a versatile ingredient and particularly beneficial for those with dry, rough, or compromised skin. Urea can hydrate, exfoliate, soothe and enhance the skin barrier therefore catering to a wide range of skin concerns.

Higher concentrations of urea, such as 30%, can provide deep exfoliation and has been shown to significantly improve severe dryness and rough, thickened skin.
