Biotin
  • Promotes hair growth
  • Maintains the health of the skin, hair and nails

Biotin, also known as vitamin B7 or vitamin H, is a water-soluble B-complex vitamin that plays a vital role in maintaining the health of the skin, hair, and nails. It is an essential nutrient that the body requires for several metabolic processes, including the conversion of nutrients into energy. Biotin is naturally found in foods such as eggs, nuts, seeds, salmon, avocados, and sweet potatoes and is also produced in small amounts by gut bacteria.

Biotin has a major role in stimulating hair growth, as it supports the production of keratin, the primary protein in hair, which in turn promotes the growth of stronger, thicker hair strands. People with biotin deficiencies often experience brittle hair and hair thinning. Additionally, biotin works at the cellular level to nourish hair follicles, making hair less prone to breakage and damage.
