Bisabolol is a component of the essential oil extracted from the chamomile plant as well as other plants such as the Candeia tree which is native to Brazil. It is renowned for its anti-inflammatory properties which makes it particularly useful for soothing irritated skin, reducing redness and calming conditions such as eczema, acne and rosacea. In addition to its soothing properties, bisabolol also may assist in fading pigmentation.
