Lactobionic Acid
Lactobionic acid is a polyhydroxy acid (PHA) and is derived from lactose. PHA’s are similar to AHA’s however the molecule size is larger meaning it has a slower realise making it more gentle on the skin especially good for sensitive skins.
Lactobionic acid helps to gently exfoliate whilst retaining hydration of the skin.
Lactobionic acid is also an antioxidant which will help protect the skin from environmental stressors and free radicals, other benefits include exfoliation, improved skin hydration, improved texture and overall strengthening of the skin barrier.
